El Gaitero at the 2017 Asturias Pinchos and Tapas Championship

El Gaitero Cider will be the sponsor of the 10th Asturias Pinchos and Tapas Championship to be held from 10 to 19 March in the Principality.

The Asturias Pinchos and Tapas Championship was created in February 2008 to encourage the hospitality and tourism sector and has become a success as in the 7th edition, which was held from 7 to 16 February with official headquarters in Gijón, 142 establishments from 25 Asturian councils took part, in 2015 during the 8th edition there were 168 participants from all over the Principality and in the 9th edition 172 establishments took part.

The Asturias championship has become the most important in Spain since its fourth edition, giving the opportunity to display the know-how of Asturian chefs in this new trend that is revolutionising kitchens all over the world.
