El Gaitero Natural, a cider which can be enjoyed to the full without the need for pouring in traditional Asturian style – a technique known as escanciado.

El Gaitero Natural cider is fresh and fruity and can be served in a wine glass, without the need for pouring in traditional Asturian style – a technique known as escanciado - making it the ideal drink for any place and occasion: lunch, dinner and also as an aperitif.

It is a natural semi-sparkling cider that stands out for its exceptional character. Although it was not intended for serving using the escanciado method, it does recall the features of traditional cider, and reflects the essence of this truly authentic product. It should be served in a white wine glass at a temperature of between 7ºC and 10ºC.

It is made with acidic and aromatic varieties of Asturian apples harvested from El Gaitero’s orchards in Villaviciosa, Asturias. Prior to pressing, the pulp is cold-soaked for 12 hours and stirred regularly to bring out all the aromas. Once the must has been obtained, it is slow fermented at a low temperature in stainless steel vats in order to allow for natural carbonation.

The result is straw-coloured cider with a delightfully delicate aroma that is fresh and fruity in the mouth. The perfect pair for fish, shellfish, cheese or chilled creams… all the summer favourites!

Its quality and character have earned it a number of awards at leading international events in countries such as Germany, the UK or Australia.
