El Gaitero Group appoints Ricardo Cabeza Rodríguez as General Manager

The position of General Manager is newly created and Cabeza will report directly to the Board of Directors, chaired by Bernardo Cardín and José Cardín as vice-chairman, who will continue to be involved in the company’s management.

About Ricardo Cabeza

He is a fifth generation member of the Fernández family and has extensive experience in the management of both family and multinational companies. He holds a degree in Economics and Business Administration from the University of Oviedo, complementing his training in business management at IE Business School and ESADE.

In addition to his experience in construction, banking (Banco de Asturias) and agricultural cooperatives, Ricardo Cabeza was responsible for the establishment in Asturias of the metal packaging factory MIVISA ENVASES (now Crown Holdings), as well as being its director for eleven years. He was later appointed General Manager of MIVISA BENELUX, in Holland, to develop the company's business in Central Europe.

Prior to joining El Gaitero Group, for the last four years he was General Manager for Southern Europe of the multinational LINPAC Packaging, until its integration into Klöckner Pentaplast, assuming the general management for Spain and Portugal of the business of both companies.
