Black Label is the first cider from El Gaitero to enter the Asturias Cider PDO.

Good things keep coming for the El Gaitero Group. In addition to the successes achieved throughout this year in different national and international competitions, there is another important new development: for the first time, the brand "El Gaitero" has been included in the Asturias Cider PDO.

Thanks to the change in European legislation in 2015 and after having introduced some modifications in the production and ageing methods, El Gaitero Black Label will be the first El Gaitero brand cider to be awarded the Protected Designation of Origin. This label reinforces the commitment of the Asturian family business to the sustainable development of the territory.

El Gaitero Black Label, which now sports a more sophisticated image, is made from the natural must of indigenous apple varieties. And one of the most important changes is the appearance of carbonic acidity in a natural way, thanks to a second fermentation for six months in a pressurised tank.

This cider, perfect to accompany a meal from start to finish, has a bright straw yellow colour with fine, well-integrated bubbles and a regular release of endogenous carbon dioxide. It is the ideal companion for aperitifs, pâtés, blue cheeses, rice, pasta, fish, seafood and even desserts.
