Seven medals for El Gaitero Group ciders

El Gaitero Group, a leader in the international cider sector, continues to receive awards for its ciders.

On this occasion, it received seven medals (four silver and three bronze) at the International Cider Challenge, held in the UK. The system used is based on blind tasting by independent experts who consider aspects such as the flavour, appearance and aroma of each cider.

The International Cider Challenge, which inspects and assesses ciders from around the world, awarded silver medals to Pomarina Brut, 1898, Gaitero Spanish Cider 100% Apple and El Gaitero Black Label, as well as bronze medals to El Gaitero Extra, Gaitero Spanish Cider Red Grape and Pomarina Natural.

Pomarina Natural – which was recently reconfirmed as an Institutional Cider – is comparable to a smooth white wine, but made with apples, and is the perfect accompaniment for fish and shellfish dishes.

Pomarina Brut, with natural carbonic gas thanks to a second fermentation process, is ideal when paired with dishes such as sushi or oysters.

El Gaitero Extra, a sweet cider and one of the company’s hallmarks, as this was the first product to be sold by the company almost 130 years ago.

Gaitero Spanish Cider 100% Apple, a modern cider created in line with the tastes of today’s consumers. It is ideal for enjoying in a balloon glass over ice and apple, or more informally, drunk straight from the bottle.

1898, a memorable ice cider named after the year the cidery was founded. Great for serving with starters such as foie gras or cheese.

El Gaitero Black Label stands out from the rest of the range as this is a dry sparkling cider that earned the El Gaitero brand its first inclusion in the PDO Sidra de Asturias.
