304 trees planted in the second phase of #Descorchaundeseo

On Sunday 18 November, the second phase of the #Descorchaundeseo #sidraelgaitero campaign took place with the aim of reforesting the burnt areas of Cangas del Narcea (Asturias) and the upper reaches of the River Sil between Galicia and Castile-León.

On this occasion, organised by the Brown Bear Foundation, volunteers travelled to Gete (León) to plant 304 wild cherry trees and buckthorns that will provide food and shelter for the bears in the future.

The first phase was already carried out in May, when around 400 trees were planted in the Alto del Campillo area, one of the areas most affected by the fires of October 2017. The next phase will be carried out in early December.
